Welcome — I’m Susan Holloway, a maker, educator, and creative coach exploring how calm, craft, and curiosity can shape a more intentional life.

Through Holloway + Dillon, I bring together my love of making and my background in fashion education — creating porcelain pieces, workshops, and coaching experiences that encourage others to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover their own creativity.

Working with porcelain, illustration, and mixed media, I explore ideas of quiet beauty, connection, and mindful living. My pieces are shaped slowly by hand in my Harrogate studio — each one a small reflection of the peaceful, tactile rhythm of craft.

Before returning to my studio practice, I spent many years in higher education, including serving as Director of Teaching and Learning at the JCA | London Fashion Academy, founded in partnership with Jimmy Choo.

As part of the Academy’s founding team, I helped build a pioneering curriculum that blended creative design with entrepreneurial practice, empowering students to launch their own brands while studying.

Alongside this, I am the author of The Fundamentals of Fashion Management (Bloomsbury, 2018) — a guide that bridges the gap between creative passion and business strategy, widely used by students and professionals worldwide.

My earlier experience running my own fashion business gave me a deep understanding of the realities of creative entrepreneurship — insights that continue to inform my mentoring and coaching today.

Through my workshops, writing, and creative practice, I continue to explore how art, mindfulness, and purpose can come together to help others design a more balanced, creative life.

If my work resonates with you — whether you’re seeking inspiration, collaboration, or a creative pause — I’d love to connect.
