A defining chapter of my creative journey was my role as Director of Teaching and Learning at the JCA | London Fashion Academy, founded in partnership with the legendary designer Jimmy Choo.
I was privileged to be part of the founding team that built this innovative fashion institution from the ground up. As a mentor and leader, I helped shape a pioneering curriculum that blended creative design with entrepreneurial skills, empowering students to graduate not only as designers, but also as confident, creative business leaders.
The Academy’s vision — to support students in launching their own brands while studying — resonated deeply with my passion for mentorship and my belief in the transformative power of education.
Alongside my work at the JCA, I am also the author of The Fundamentals of Fashion Management (Dillon, S., 2018), a practical and inspiring guide for students and professionals navigating the fashion industry.
Combining real-life case studies, hands-on exercises, and career-focused insights, the book bridges the gap between creative passion and business strategy, and has been widely used in higher education and professional study guides.
Beyond academia, I have lived the creative journey firsthand as a professional designer and entrepreneur, running my own fashion business for several years — an experience that gave me deep insight into both the challenges and triumphs of creative entrepreneurship.
Over the years, I have collaborated with industry leaders, mentored aspiring creatives, and worked on projects that merge artistry with strategy, passion with purpose.
Today, I continue to offer workshops, creative coaching, and collaborative consultancy — helping individuals and organisations nurture creativity, ignite ideas, and bring meaningful visions to life.
If you’re seeking to inspire your students, team, or community with fresh creative energy, I would love to explore opportunities to work together.
