Folded Porcelain Studs – No.1

£35.00

Sculptural and soft, this pair of hand-formed porcelain studs is inspired by folds of cloth and natural undulations. Each earring carries a unique shape — one touched with a delicate sweep of 24-carat gold lustre, the other left pure and unglazed.

Artful yet understated, they offer quiet contrast and organic elegance — like small relics of something once held close.

Each pair is one of a kind.

Why this price?

These earrings are individually shaped, kiln-fired, and finished by hand — one with 24-carat gold lustre, fused in the final firing. Their irregular form and painterly gold detail make them truly unique.

By choosing handmade, you support slow design, sustainable practice, and independent artistry — thank you.

Care Instructions:

Wear.
Gently wear and enjoy for a long time.  Porcelain is best treated like shell, glass or gemstone jewelry. It is recommended to remove jewelry while sleeping, swimming, showering, etc. Some beauty products may cause gold finish and adhesives to break down. Apply perfume before wearing. While porcelain is a durable and strong material, avoid dropping on hard surfaces.

Care.
As with most jewelry, a patina will develop over time.  To help reduce tarnish and clean the porcelain, mild soap & lukewarm water can be used with a soft brush or damp cloth to increase shine and patina, then dry with a soft towel. Gold glaze is a surface treatment and may patina or fade depending on pH, use and exposure to chlorine or perfume. Silver and gold-plated accents can be shined using a polishing cloth or leather chamois.
